This story revolves around a girl named Anis Yamamoto. She was given a choker by her father, who told her not to remove it or she will be punished. One fateful day, she was hit by mysterious black creature and caused her choker fell off. Worrying about her father finding out, she looks for the black creature. However, before the black creature flew away, it spat out a red card. Right before she captures it, she falls into a mysterious pit, where she sees a giant monster and her science teacher, Itsushi, heavily injured. Itsushi notices that she has the card and tells her to kiss it. Once she kissed the Card, it summoned her "rival", Kaede which he reveals is a Rhode Knight. He then attacks the big dragon making it transformed to the previous black creature. Itsushi explains the black creature is the guardian of the cards, Ninufa, and gives her 4 different cards for her to summon the other Rhode Knights. Once she summons the rest, she discovers the other 4 Rhode Knights are the 4 boys in school: Tenjou, Asagi, Kaede, and Mutsuki.
In the end, the one of the Knights that Anis will chose as her partner will become the "True Rose."
